Tiaong, Quezon The suspected right-hand man of the leader of the dreaded "Moog" kidnap-for-ransom (KFR) gang was arrested by joint elements of the Quezon and Batangas police in his residence here last Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Superintendent Reuben Sindac, investigation and intelligence chief of the Quezon police, said the arrested suspect, Efren Anido, 53, alias Pusa, is the right-hand man of Jaime Moog, who heads the kidnap-for-ransom syndicate operating in Southern Tagalog.
Sindac said Anido was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court for kidnapping cases, for which he cannot post bail.
