BSPs CagayanValley head gunned down

TUGUEGARAO CITY The Cagayan Valley manager of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) was shot dead by an unidentified gunman here last Thursday, the police said.
Chief Superintendent Jefferson Soriano, regional police director, said investigators were still clueless on the killing of Fidel Dizon Alvarez, 40, BSP regional manager based here, who was shot in the back along Gonzaga street, just five meters away from the BSP building, at about 6:40 p.m. last Thursday.
Minutes before the incident, Soriano said Alvarez was seen watching a television program inside his office, along with one of the BSPs security guards.
He said Alvarez was shot with a small firearm while he was walking toward a nearby store.
