Batangas exec shot dead inside KTV bar

Batangas City A city official here was shot dead by an unidentified gunman inside a KTV bar in Barangay Alangilan early on Sunday morning, police said.
Police Inspector Felizardo Panaligan, chief of the investigations division of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Batangas City, identified the victim as Felix Hidalgo, 55 , Business Permit and Licensing Division chief of Batangas City.
Reports said that at around 12:15 a.m., the victim was drinking inside Eloisa KTV Bar and Restaurant when a lone gunman approached his table and shot him once in the head.
Hidalgo died on the spot after a bullet from a caliber .45 pistol pierced through his right temple and exited through his left temple.
The gunman escaped with two others aboard a motorcycle waiting just a few meters away from the bar and sped toward Barangay Balagtas.
Police are now eyeing two motives for the killing love or job related.
Crime scene investigators recovered one empty shell and a slug from a caliber .45 pistol.
