Tornado destroys 23 P’sinan houses

BINMALEY, Pangasinan — A tornado struck a village here last Friday afternoon, destroying at least 23 houses, authorities said. No one was reported injured.

Strong winds and heavy rainfall lasting for more than an hour rendered several barangays in Lingayen, Calasiao, Dagupan City and San Carlos City without electricity.

Binmaley Mayor Simplico Rosario visited tornado-hit Barangay Linoc West to look into the affected families’ needs. — Eva Visperas, Cesar Ramirez
