BACOLOD CITY A Sipalay City farmer was meted life imprisonment (reclusion perpetua) for killing his 13-year-old daughter, cutting her head off with a bolo, more than five years ago.
Kabankalan Regional Trial Court Henry Arles found Enrique Cabasa Flores guilty of parricide, adding "there is no doubt" that he "sexually assaulted" his daughter based on the "chain of circumstances."
There was no medical record though showing that Flores sexually molested his daughter whose body was already decomposing when it was found.
The victims muddy T-shirt was pulled up to her underarms exposing her private parts.
Court records showed that on July 31, 1999, Flores fetched his daughter and dragged her to a field of wild banana plants where he killed her after allegedly raping her. Her body was found three days later. Antonieta Lopez
