Bayan Muna member slain

TACLOBAN CITY A Bayan Muna member was shot dead while his wife was critically wounded in Mahaplag town, some 60 kilometers west of this city, yesterday.
Nestor Nirza, Bayan Munas Eastern Visayas information officer, said Alfredo Davis, 38, and his wife, Imelda, municipal coordinator of Abanse Pinay, were on their way to the office on board a service Multicab when one of two motorcycle-riding men fired at them using a caliber .45 automatic.
Davis died from bullet wounds in the neck, abdomen and left arm. His wife was hit in both hands.
Police were still clueless on the attack.
Last March 14, lawyer Fidilito Dacut, Bayan Muna regional coordinator, was also shot dead.
Meanwhile, Oscar Turla Jr., Bayan Munas Northern Samar coordinator, survived a bomb explosion in their office last April 6. Three days later, Alvin Ambida, the party-list groups Eastern Samar coordinator, was shot and wounded. Miriam Garcia Desacada
