A Japanese man, wanted for allegedly luring a 14-year-old girl into prostitution through the Internet, was arrested in San Mateo, Rizal and will be deported, the immigration bureau said yesterday.
Masakazu Kawano, 25, was arrested last Wednesday at his house in Barangay Guinayang in San Mateo and will be deported on Tuesday under escort by Japanese policemen, Immigration Commissioner Alipio Fernandez said.
The immigration bureau said Kawano is facing arrest for conspiracy in forcing the teen to have sex twice with a Japanese man for 40,000 yen in a hotel in Saga-shi, Japan last October.
The bureau alleged that Kawano is linked to a Yakuza criminal group involved in prostitution and illegal gambling. With AFP
