He tasted his victim’s blood

-
MALASIQUI, Pangasinan — A drunken man hacked dead his brother-in-law here last week, nearly severing his head, and admitted "tasting" his blood, a belated police report said.

Police said the victim, businessmen Jerry Oficial, 38, together with his wife, Perla, was watching television inside their home in Barangay Barang on the night of March 9 when the suspect, Alberto Caldona, 40, who was drunk, attacked him with a bolo for no apparent reason.

Caldona fled after the incident but policemen caught with him in a nearby village.

Superintendent Leopoldo Rivera, municipal police chief, said Caldona admitted that he "tasted" his brother-in-law’s blood. — Eva Visperas
