Senior Superintendent Leocadio Santiago, Rizal police director, said the 10 trainees failed to show up for their Special Counter-Insurgency Operations Unit Training (SCOUT) at the provincial police headquarters.
The SCOUT training is preparatory to the deployment of the rookie policemen to Antipolo City and the different Rizal towns.
"They think they can get away with it," said Santiago, pointing out that under the rules and regulations of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), the erring cops can be dismissed from the service.
Santiago said SCOUT is designed to equip rookie policemen with the proper knowledge of counter-insurgency operations and law enforcement.
The training exercises is composed of three phases: basic combat, counter-insurgency operations and knowledge of insurgency. Non Alquitran
