Drunk man who picked a fight killed

BURGOS, Ilocos Sur No one in his village dared take up his challenge for a fight, until a former soldier took the chance. The result: he was hacked 17 times, and his head chopped off.
Police said a drunk Danilo Revilla, 49, challenged his neighbors in remote Barangay Callitong here to a fight last Saturday night. No one obliged, knowing that the carpenter always did that whenever he got drunk.
Passing by the house of Nestor Dalit, 43, a former Army man once assigned in Mindanao, Revilla got a answer: "Wait for me."
Dalit went out of his house armed with a bolo and attacked Revilla. "The drunk guy never had a chance to fight back," a villager said in the dialect. Teddy Molina
