Laoag City Former First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos reiterated yesterday her appeal for the government to allow the burial of the remains of her husband, the late former President Marcos, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
She echoed the appeal through her familys spokesman, Lito Gorospe, as they marked Marcos 15th death anniversary in Batac town where the late strongmans remains are kept in a refrigerated crypt at the Marcos mausoleum.
Marcos died while he was in exile in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sept. 28, 1989.
Mrs. Marcos was unable to attend the death anniversary rites because her blood pressure shot up when she was about to board her flight to this city from Manila yesterday morning, Gorospe said. Teddy Molina
