Grenade hurled at tribal chiefs house; 2 hurt

DAVAO CITY Two pro-government militiamen were wounded when suspected communist rebels threw a grenade into the house of an Ata-Manobo chieftain here the other day.
The New Peoples Army was believed to be behind the attack since Datu Ruben Labawan has been active in the counter-insurgency drive in his community in the Paquibato district.
Labawan was unharmed, but militiamen Rolando Nasula, 28, and Nestor Alolor, 26, who were sleeping, suffered injuries. Edith Regalado
