Ilocos Sur lawyer slain in his office

CABUGAO, Ilocos Sur — A lawyer was gunned down by a man pretending to be a client inside his office here the other day.

The victim, Luis Rubio, 53, died from two gunshot wounds in the chest and neck with a caliber .45 pistol.

Rubio’s brother, Batac, Ilocos Norte Judge Ariston Rubio, was himself killed in an ambush in Currimao town two years ago.

Cabugao Mayor Diocaesar Suero condemned the killing. — Teddy Molina
