Three shabu pushers nabbed in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Three notorious shabu pushers, including a prominent businessman and a son of a former Sulu Vice Governor, were captured by police operatives here.

Western Police director Chief Superintendent Servando Hizon presented the three suspects, identified as Efren Ruste, Jul Amir Estino and Jack Munap, to the media yesterday.

Hizon said that Ruste, manager of Unified Stevedoring Arrastre Corp., was arrested in an entrapment operation while Estino and Muna were nabbed when they entered Ruste’s office to buy the illegal substance.

Hizon added that Estino, allegedly a son of former Sulu Vice Gov. Munib Estino, has long been wanted for the murder of Datu Nasruddin Tulawie Kiram in Sulu in 1989.

Police also discovered that Estino’s vehicle was an ambulance donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) but its color had been changed. Roel Pareño
