N. Samar official belies statement

A second district provincial board member of Northern Samar belied a statement attributed to her in an Aug. 10 Nation report blaming the New Peoples Army (NPA) for the worsening peace and order in her hometown of Silvino Lubos.
In a letter to The STAR, board member Marites Jarito-Gillamac said she never gave such a statement which, she bewailed, "has unwittingly exposed me to danger."
