Radioman arrested for shooting

VIGAN CITY An anchorman of a radio station here, known to be a tough critic of Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis "Chavit" Singson, was arrested last Friday night after allegedly shooting a barangay tanod.
Police said dzXE anchorman Gil Ballesteros, popularly called "Kumander Banat," was nabbed after shooting Barangay Paing tanod Teody Ayon whom he had mistaken to be quarreling with his son.
Police said Ballesteros rushed out of his house armed with an unlicensed machine gun after learning that his son had a quarrel with a neighbor. He then shot Ayon in the leg.
Residents alerted the police about the shooting.
