2 CCP students drown in Rizal

Two students of the Central Colleges of the Philippines (CCP) drowned when their boat, battered by big waves, capsized in Laguna Lake in Pililla, Rizal the other day, police said.

The bodies of Erwin Diantoy and Jeffrey Mendez were retrieved by rescue teams after a half-hour search. They and nine other students had just come from a classmate’s birthday party in Barangay Halayhayin. — Non Alquitran
