Abra ABC head gunned down

BANGUED, Abra The president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) in La Paz town was gunned down by four motorcycle-riding men while he was waiting for a barge ride across the Abra River last Wednesday night, police said.
Senior Superintendent Art Hicban, Abra police director, said probers were eyeing politics in the killing of Ruben Afos, chairman of Barangay Pidipid.
Investigation showed that Afos, along with a companion, was waiting for a barge for his ride home across the river when the gunmen arrived and attacked him.
