Luzon execs back Aglipay

TARLAC CITY — A total of 3,825 elected officials in the four regions north of Metro Manila have declared their support for Deputy Director General Edgardo Aglipay to be the next chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

In a "manifesto of support and endorsement," city and municipal mayors, vice mayors and councilors in Regions 1, 2 and 3 and the Cordillera Administrative Region described Aglipay as the "deserving, logical and rightful choice" to replace Director General Hermogenes Ebdane as PNP chief. — Benjie Villa
