- Raffy Viray -
Balanga City, Bataan — A passenger bus sideswiped a tricycle along the Roman Superhighway in Orion town yesterday, killing two persons and injuring two others.

Superintendent Elmer Macapagal, Bataan police director, identified the fatalities as Manny Sanchez and Richard Hatol, a Barangay councilman of Puting Buhangin in Orion. Both suffered fractured skulls and broken ribs and died on the spot.

Seriously injured were tricycle driver Ferdinand Fajardo and Ruel Craig, both of Barangay Putting Buhangin. They were brought to the Bataan General Hospital here.

Reports showed that the victims were on board a tricycle cruising the Roman Superhighway in Barangay Sta. Elena when a speeding Genesis Bus from Baguio City bound for Mariveles town hit the tricycle at about 3:15 p.m. The tricycle was totally wrecked.
