PNB-Jolo exec, wife survive slay attempt

ZAMBOANGA CITY The manager of the Philippine National Bank branch in Jolo, Sulu and his wife were wounded in an ambush by a lone gunman yesterday morning, police said.
Investigators said PNP-Jolo manager Jioksin Dammang and his wife, Saudah, were on board the banks gray Tamaraw service vehicle when the gunman suddenly appeared and shot them with a caliber .45 pistol in Barangay Tulay.
The gunman wore a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses.
Dammang sustained bullet wounds in the jaw, left arm and hip, and his wife, in the left arm.
The Dammang couple said they had not received any death threats prior to the slay attempt, thus they did not request for police security escorts. Roel Pareño
