Bombs seized in Zambo raid

A huge cache of explosive devices were seized in a raid conducted by the Naval intelligence agents at an Abu Sayyaf safehouse in Jolo, Sulu yesterday morning.
Navy Chief Vice Admiral Ernesto de Leon, said that anti-terrorism operation in Barangay Bus-Bus, also resulted to the arrest of two suspected Abu Sayyaf bomb experts.
Now undergoing interrogation at the 3rd Marine Brigade headquarters in Jolo were Alcessar Jillah and Alhabasi Misaya, alias Parad, reportedly trained Abu Sayyaf bombers. The two were cornered at the safehouse at around 11:30 a.m.
De Leon said the raiding naval intelligence teams recovered 20 improvised explosive devices and other bomb-making paraphernalia inside the safehouse.
Government troops also recovered several terrorist documents, which are now being examined for its intelligence and counter-operations value, De Leon said. Jaime Laude
