Garcias trounce rivals in Bataan

BALANGA CITY Rep. Enrique Garcia and his son Albert were proclaimed Bataan governor and second district congressman, respectively, last Friday.
The elder Garcia (Lakas-CMD) won by a margin of 36,249 votes over Vice Gov. Rogelio Roque (NPC), while his son, this citys outgoing mayor, beat Gov. Leonardo Roman by a slim lead of 320 votes.
In the vice gubernatorial race, Ben Alonzo (NPC) won over Serafin Roman (Lakas-CMD).
Also declared winners were first district Rep. Tony Roman and provincial board members Manuel Beltran, Fernando Austria, Dante Manalaysay, Eduardo Calimbas, Eduard Florendo, Rod Izon, Rod Salandanan, Edward Roman, Edwin Enrile and Orlando Miranda. Raffy Viray
