Pagdanganan son losing in Bulacan; Bro.Eddie’s, too

MALOLOS CITY — Big names in Bulacan politics failed to win voters’ nod in last Monday’s polls, including members of the clans of Tourism Secretary Roberto Pagdanganan and presidential candidate evangelist Eduardo Villanueva.

Pagdanganan’s son Raymond trailed by more than 40,000 votes behind incumbent Vice Gov. Aurelio Plamenco in their race for the second top provincial post.

Before the quick count was stopped, Plamenco had 188,893 votes and Raymond, 146,273.

Jojo Pagdanganan, nephew of Secretary Pagdanganan and son of incumbent Calumpit Mayor Ramon Pagdanganan, was edged out by former councilor James de Jesus in the mayoralty contest.

Meanwhile, Villanueva’s son, Eduardo Jr., the incumbent mayor of Bocaue town, appears to be losing to former mayor Serafin de la Cruz.

It will take days, however, to finally determine the real winners as the provincial board of canvassers has yet to begin the official canvassing of votes.
