DAGUPAN CITY World-record breakers, rejoice!
That was what Dagupeños did last Friday when they relived their Guinness feat last year for the worlds longest barbecue of bangus, of course at 1,007.50 meters, besting Perus 613 meters.
About 120,000 people, as Mayor Benjamin Lim estimated, took part in this years Kalutan ed Dagupan (Grill in Dagupan) which served as a grand reunion of sorts for the 2003 participants.
"Now (Dagupeños) believe that they can do what seemed impossible in the beginning," Lim said.
"After this achievement, people were one in saying that nothing is impossible for as long as we all work together under a credible and trustworthy leadership" he added.
