MisOr to assist reb returnees

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Misamis Oriental is now institutionalizing the "Amnesty Grantee Assistance Program" for rebel returnees and members of their immediate families.

During ceremonies at the Dynasty Court Hotel here last Wednesday, acting Misamis Oriental Gov. Joaquin Miguel de Jesus signed an executive order institutionalizing the program pursuant to Section 17 of Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code and in line with Memorandum Circular 2004-13 of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The National Amnesty Commission has identified at least 191 amnesty grantees in Misamis Oriental. — Bong Fabe
