37 stolen motorcycles recovered

At least 37 stolen motorcycles were recovered by the Regional Traffic Management Group 4 in a series of operations in Laguna yesterday

Senior Superintendent Artemio Bermido, RTMG 4 chief, said that his office has been receiving reports of stolen motorcycles recently.

These vehicles are usually unregistered, have no plate numbers, and the engine and chassis numbers are tampered.

Chief Inspector Orlando Legaspi, Laguna-RTMG 4 chief said that 25 Honda Mcs, four Suzuki and five Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles were confiscated during the operation in San Pedro, Laguna. All motorcycles were impounded.

The motorbike-riders were invited to the RTMO-headquarters in Sta.Rosa for questioning but were released later.

Bermido said that legitimate owners must show proof of ownership and registration documents before the impounded vehicles can be released.
