2 dead, 3 injured in Psinan road mishap

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan A woman and a three-year-old girl died while three others were seriously injured when an owner-type jeep collided with an ambulance along the national highway in Barangay Quinaoayanan in Bani town on Sunday.
Reports reaching the Pangasinan provincial police office identified the fatalities as Michele and Gamiah Navasca, both residents of Poblacion, Bani.
The report also identified the injured victims as James, Grace and Windgie Navasca. James was the owner and driver of the owner-type jeep with license plates ADF427. The three were rushed to the Alaminos City Doctors Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the ambulance was identified as Eulogio Espiritu, 38, a resident of Barangay Quinaoayanan.
The ambulance, with licence plates SBP380, is owned by the municipality of Bani, the report said.
Investigation showed that the ambulance was moving towards the south when it collided with the owner-type jeep, which is heading towards opposite direction.
