De la Cruz running with Plamenco

Incumbent Bulacan Gov. Josefina de la Cruz is seeking re-election under the Lakas-CMD (Christian-Muslim Democrats) party with incumbent Vice Gov. Aurelio Plamenco as running mate.
De la Cruz clarified this to correct an earlier STAR report which erroneously reported that her running mate is Raymond Pagdanganan and that Plamenco will seek another term under the Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP).
"For the record, Vice Gov. Plamenco is my official running mate because of the equity of the incumbent rule. Never was there any attempt to replace him, not even in favor of Mr. Raymond Pagdanganan, as stated in your article," De la Cruz said in a faxed letter.
"His (Plamencos) dedication, integrity and hard work have earned him my full respect, trust and confidence. Never did I have any second thoughts in choosing him once more as my running mate," she added.
As early as last Dec. 15, De la Cruz said she and Plamenco, along with five provincial board members, had filed their certificates of candidacy as re-electionists under the Lakas-CMD party.
