Located on a 24-hectare lot, the bangus (milkfish) center aims to produce 200 million eggs once it is totally operational next year, Westly Rosario, BFAR-Dagupan chief, said.
Rosario said the center, the first of its kind in the country, hopes to offset the domestic shortfall of 700 million bangus fry a year.
He said the center will also train local government units and the private sector on bangus hatchery. Eva Visperas
