Romblon physician killed

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna Two farmers are facing murder charges for the fatal stabbing of a Romblon physician recently.
Police said the victim, Dr. Martin Antonio Morgado, a resident doctor of the RPH Odiongan Hospital, was attacked near the boundary of Barangays Mayuga and Tulay in Odiongan, Romblon.
Morgado sustained stab wounds in the abdomen and other parts of the body.
The two suspects, farmers Edgar Gaad and Geronimo Foja, were apparently high on drugs when they assaulted the doctor after coming from a drinking spree, police said.
Police said Morgado was on his way home aboard a motorcycle when the suspects blocked his path and attacked him.
The two suspects immediately escaped after the incident but law enforcers later arrested them in their respective houses.
