Psinan doctor gunned down

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan A 61-year-old doctor was killed and his driver critically wounded by two scooter-riding gunmen here Friday night, police said.
Chief Inspector Harris Fama, this towns police chief, said Dr. Fedelito Lazaro Manaois, of Barangay Ydia here, and his driver, Angelito Malanom, 19, were riding tandem on a motorcycle in Barangay Guiguilonen when the gunmen trailed and fired shots at them.
Manaois, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, died while being rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City.
Police recovered seven empty shells and a slug from a 9-mm. pistol at the crime scene.
Probers still have no clues as to the motive behind the killing. Eva Visperas
