An inter-island ship smashed into at least four vessels at the Masbate port last Friday, authorities said. At least seven people were reported injured.
Reports said the steel-hulled M/V Merchant, owned by a copra exporting firm, smashed into the wooden-hulled M/V William Sy while it was about to dock at the port in Barangay Bapor.
The collision caused the M/V William Sy to sink. The M/V Merchant also crashed into and damaged three other wooden-hulled vessels. Christina Mendez
