Acetylene Gang carts off P3-M in new heist

ALAMINOS CITY Acetylene Gang struck again when they carted off about P3 million in jewelry and cash amounting to P100,000 after they robbed a pawnshop along Marcos Ave. in , Barangay Poblacion last week.
Police reported that the burglars robbed the L and N Pawnshop, owned by Lan de Castro.
The so-called Acetylene Gang has already victimized several pawnshops, restaurants, computer shops in Pangasinan using an acetylene torch.
Investigators said the burglars forcibly entered the establishment by boring a hole at the southern concrete wall of the pawnshop.
The police recovered from the crime scene one acetylene tank, one "Super Kalan" tank, two crow bars, one hand drill, four boring tools for concrete, a screw driver, a pair of pliers, a flashlight, a sweatshirt marked at the back with the words "Tanauan Muna Higit sa Lahat" and at the front with what appeared to be the official seal of the municipality of Tanauan, Batangas Duyan Nang Mga Bayani, among others.
