Police claim to have leads on P6.6-M rob

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police have claimed to have gathered leads in the P6.6-million robbery in an Angeles City pawnshop last Friday night.

Senior Superintendent Jimmy Restua, Angeles police chief, is confident that his men could apprehend the robbers "within two to three days."

Unidentified men clad in police uniforms and riding a jeepney, blocked the path of Arlene Villanueva, manager of Lhuillier pawnshop, near the Guagua Rural Bank shortly after she had closed the pawnshop at 8 p.m. Friday.

While this was happening, two other men, also in police uniforms, blocked the jeepney carrying pawnshop cashier Allalyn Sicangco.

Both Villanueva and Sicangco were brought back to the pawnshop where they were told to open the vault. — Ric Sapnu
