2 soldiers killed in gun duel

COTABATO CITY Two feuding soldiers killed each other in a gun duel in President Roxas, North Cotabato yesterday.
Police identified the fatalities as Sgt. Antonio Sinfuego of the Armys 39th Infantry Battalion, which is under the 6th Infantry Division, and M/Sgt. Rudolfo Cacho of the Armys Intelligence and Security Unit based in Davao City.
Residents overheard the two arguing along a farm-to-market road in Barangay Sarayan, after which gunshots rang out.
Sinfuego was commander of a joint Army-barangay militia detachment in Barangay Sarayan, while Cacho, a plainclothes Army agent, had reportedly been frequenting the outskirts of President Roxas to monitor movements of communist guerrillas.
