Inmate shot dead in Calamba jailbreak

CALAMBA CITY An inmate was shot dead when he and two other detainees bolted the city jail here shortly before noon the other day.
Joey San Antonio, 27, charged with possession of illegal drugs, was hit in his buttocks and died while being treated at the J. P. Rizal District Hospital here.
San Antonio, along with Rogelio David, 35, and Ronald Allan Corrico, 27, bolted the city jail here at about 11:45 a.m. while a jailguard was opening the main door to deliver the meal rations of the 159 inmates.
Corrico, who also faces drug possession charges, was recaptured about 100 meters away from the city jail minutes later. David, accused of two counts of rape, remains at large.
