Butuan City Police Director, Police Senior Supt. Edgar Wasawas Agustin identified the victim as William Lua, 37, owner of a commercial establishment, Barato Marketing in Langihan District, Butuan City.
Agustin said, police investigators are now conducting probe in the gruesome killing of Lua following reports that two of his houseboys were suspects in the killing.
Police probers said all members of the Lua households are now undergoing investigation in the killing because he was murdered inside his store at about 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday when it was already closing.
Luas uncle, one of the witnesses told probers that two trusted houseboys of Lua were the last persons in company with Lua before his untimely and gruesome death.
NBI medico-legal findings revealed that Luas neck was slashed after sustaining a head injury caused by a head butt using a hard, blunt object.
Lua also sustained stab wounds in different parts of his body.
Relatives said, that the two houseboys who were stay-ins had a heated argument with Lua days before his death. Ben Serrano
