ZAMBOANGA CITY Armed Forces chief Gen. Narciso Abaya said they are considering the request of the last Indonesian hostage recovered from the Abu Sayyaf last Friday, to return to Sulu.
Pieter Lerrich intends to search for the remains of their boat captain, Munto Jacobo Winowatan, who was killed and buried by the Abu Sayyaf in the jungles of Patikul, Sulu.
Marines led by Col. Nelson Allaga recovered Lerrich in the village of Mampalam.
Lerrich, chief engineer of M/T Marine Sentil 88, said their Abu Sayyaf captors killed Winowatan last February because he was getting very weak.
"Im not going home. No, I must bring his body because my heart bleeds," he said when he was flown from Sulu to this city last Friday. Roel Pareño
