No word yet on captive boy

COTABATO CITY — Relatives of a three-year-old grandson of a Tacurong City agricultural trader are worried about his fate in the absence of any ransom demand from his kidnappers.

The victim, Jester Hurlador, was abducted last Tuesday by three pistol-wielding men who were last seen taking their captive to the boundary of Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Chief Inspector Raul Supiter, officer-in-charge of the Tacurong police, said the kidnappers snatched the boy after his grandfather, Joseph, refused their demand for protection money and even engaged them in a shootout.

Tacurong officials said the Hurladors have not received any ransom demand yet from the kidnappers. John Unson
