LA TRINIDAD, Benguet The provincial government has created the Benguet Vegetable Commission to protect farmers from unfair competition from the smuggling of imported vegetables.
Gov. Raul Molintas said the commission would ensure that the farmers produce would be protected and sold at prevailing market prices.
He said the commission is completing studies for a databank that will include a masterlist of vegetable growers, their postharvest practices and production volumes and a cost and return analysis. Myds Supnad
