DSWD exec killed

COTABATO CITY — Suspected hired killers shot dead the assistant director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Region 12 in a daring attack here last night.

The victim, Joel Maglunob, 40, who was actively involved in relief work in Pikit, North Cotabato and other conflict-stricken areas in Central Mindanao, had just arrived from an official trip to Davao City and was about to enter his house on Pansacala street here when two gunmen casually approached and shot him with caliber .45 automatics.
