Cops arrest Italian national long wanted by International Police

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga Police arrested on Tuesday an Italian national long wanted as an international fugitive by the International Police (Interpol) in San Clemente, Tarlac.
Sr. Supt.. Mario San Diego, Tarlac provincial police director, identified the Italian national as Giacomo Latini, 51, who is wanted for various offenses and subject for extradition proceedings.
Combined operatives of the Regional Intelligence and Investigation Division (RIID), the Philippine Center for Transnational Crime (PCTC), the Tarlac police and the 312nd Police Mobile Group apprehended Latini in his rented house in Barangay Poblacion Sur, San Clemente town, said San Diego. He said that Latini was not aware of any crime that he has committed in Italy and willing to present himself before Interpol and Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) officials.
Latini was turned over to the PCTC, the Interpol based in Rome and the BID.
The Italian is now detained at the BID in Manila. Ric Sapnu
