GMA to unveil Sulat infra projects

-
President Arroyo is set to unveil some of the most important rural infra projects in Sulat, Eastern Samar during her visit to this town on Saturday.

One is dubbed "Tulay sa Pangulo," that the President will present to the farmers, rural folks and local officials of Sulat town.

Mayor Javier Zacate expressed his delight over the several "blessings" his constituents recently received from the poverty alleviation projects of President Arroyo. For instance, Zacate mentioned that the presidential bridge will definitely ease up the condition of local farmers of this town as in bringing their products to the market as well as the better delivery of basic services. Once finished, more children and mothers will receive prompt medical attention and services and school children will no longer endanger themselves as they cross the dilapidated wooden bridge, the mayor happily projects.

Aside from the "Tulay Sa Pangulo," Mrs. Arroyo will likewise switch on the "Oh ILAW" project of four Sulat barangays: Mabini, A-et, Candalakit and Sition Hamorawon. A total energization project linked with a local cooperative, ESAMELCO, the four barangays will just have to be thankful to the President and their local officials for realizing their dreams of having been linked with the modern world and enjoy some of life’s amenities and entertainment, the mayor quipped.

Meanwhile, Zacate and his employees are now busy preparing for the big event on Feb. 15. He said that they are now excited to receive for the first time President Arroyo and her party in the municipality. But he is happiest to receive other rural infras as in irrigation projects which is targeted to supply water to more or less 217 hectares of their farmlands.
