7 Cebu City juveniles in jail rape face raps

CEBU CITY Government prosecutors have recommended the filing of charges in court against seven juveniles who allegedly raped a fellow ward at the citys correctional facility for children.
Late last year, an 11-year-old boy interned at the Cebu City Operation Second Chance filed complaints against seven other boys whom he accused of raping him on several occasions between August and October.
The alleged incidents happened inside the center.
Six of the accused juveniles denied the allegations and five of them pointed to a seventh boy as the one who actually committed the rapes.
But in separate resolutions, assistant city prosecutor Aida Sanchez said "the denial of the respondents cannot overcome the positive assertions of a victim who has nothing to gain by making false accusations." Freeman News Service
