3 Davao poll officers rapped for falsification

DAVAO CITY Three members of the local board of election inspectors were charged for allegedly falsifying election documents during the joint barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections last July 15.
The city prosecutors office filed the charges against Marianita Corpuz, Elizabeth Bughao and Shirley Jacobe with the Regional Trial Court in Tugbok district.
The three election officers reportedly altered the minutes of voting and counting at Precinct No. 397-A at the Mintal Elementary School.
The election documents they submitted showed that a certain Mary Joy Manlud, a watcher of an SK candidate, was present in the precinct from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on election day.
However, Manlud, who filed the complaint, claimed that she arrived at the polling precinct only at about 4 p.m. Edith Regalado
