Last Monday night, the septuagenarian was on her way to her sister’s house when tragedy befell her. At 11:30 a.m. the next day, her body was found in a cornfield in Barangay Anolid here; she was raped and strangled to death.
She was found lying naked face down. Dr. Sherante Parayno, municipal health officer, said there was blood on her vagina.
Authorities believe her assailant could either be drug-crazed or heavily intoxicated. – Eva de Leon
