Septuagenarian, twin apos killed

A septuagenarian and her twin granddaughters were found dead with multiple stab wounds inside their house in Torrejos, Marinduque on New Year’s Day, police said.

A report sent to Camp Crame identified the victims as 73-year-old Eulogia Villar and her 13-year-old granddaughters Rodalyn and Rojelyn.

Local probers believe they were massacred on New Year’s Eve. Their killers remain unknown.

Senior Superintendent Pablito Grimaldo, Torrejos police chief, said the victims apparently knew their killers because there were no signs of forced entry.

Police have also ruled out the robbery angle because nothing was missing from the Villars’ residence.

One of the twins, Rojelyn, was found naked, but autopsy showed she was not sexually abused.

Investigators are looking into revenge as a possible motive, noting that an organized crime group has marked a policeman-relative of the Villars for liquidation. — Jaime Laude
