Saudi firm’s Pinoy execs deny reports

Four Filipino managers of a Saudi Arabian firm employing over 3,000 Filipino workers have taken exception to recent reports linking their company to the Bin Laden Group.

In a letter to Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Bahnarim Guinomla, the four executives of Mohammad al-Mojil Group described the reports as "bad and distorted."

The four are Abelardo Angeles, engineering manager; Roel Dangal, project manager; Ruben Ramos, personnel manager; and Edmundo Balayo, corporate safety manager.

They said they can confirm that the Mohammad al-Mojil Group "has absolutely no contact or relation in any way with any of the Bin Laden Group or their families."

Their company, they said, "has always earned a very high respect from Saudi authorities, companies, banks and the general public."

The Mohammad al-Mojil Group, they added, has always been against "any form of corruption and illegal operations… and always maintains high priority (for) corporate reputation, even over profits."
