FPJ backs move to build on SBMA Universal Studio-type facilities

Subic Bay Freeport Action movie king Fernando Poe Jr. expressed full support to the proposed project of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to set up a Universal Studio-type facilities inside the Freeport complex that will feature replica of film setting of classic Filipino movies for tourist to enjoy.
"The proposed Subic Bay Movie Center will be part of the grandiose tourist attraction along with themed-park being developed by SBMA with Safari-type 200, aviary, botanical garden, museum, insectariums, jurassic park, and a lot more which would all rise in natural settings in pristine forest of Subic," Poe told The Star in an interview.
SBMA Chairman Felicito Payumo has proposed that the Freeport becomes the movie and film making capital of the country, as it has already attracted several local and even international movie producers.
Meanwhile, a signature campaign supporting the candidacy of the legendary action movie king FPJ snowballed in Gapo City to persuade the actor to consider running in the 2004 presidential elections.
Gapo organizers of the FPJ for President movement claimed that the signature drive created an overwhelming support of residents from all walks of life.
FPJ is currently in Subic Bay Freeport shooting and directing the movie Alamat ng Lawin, an action-packed fantasy movie and FPJ productions official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival.
